PAVILION IN BIENNALE site specifics

As the majority of States has its own pavilion for the Venice Biennale, the Garbage Patch State also has its own one.
Maria Cristina Finucci created an installation in the courtyard of Ca’ Foscari University composed of thousands of plastic cups climbing over the wall that surrounds the ancient building in its effort to reach out towards the lagoon. The press took a special interest in this news.

The project was developed with the cooperation of the students from Ca’ Foscari Sostenibile and Eni as its major partner. Moreover it was also supported by the UNESCO Venice Office and promoted by the Italian Ministry of Environment.
